The chosen musicians reflect the height of Korean music quality and world appeal. Public fan voting combined with an analysis by the panel of music experts at the Pop Golden Awards determines the winner.
The Golden Korean Artist of the Year Award recognizes a Korean artist who defined the mainstream Korean music scene and attained great local and worldwide popularity. It honors amazing talent that has enthralled audiences from Korea as well as from elsewhere. Given their extraordinary critical and commercial success on the global scene, the prize confirms the winning artist’s place at the height of Korean music.
